Chapter 1 part 2

Being apart of the Martinez clan was not easy; Max was born into a life of wealth and privilege. His father and uncle treated him as if he were royalty.  The Martinez did not start out this way. Max’s great grandfather migrated from Caracas, Venezuela to Port of Spain, Trinidad he married and settled down in the small town of San Juan. Max’s great grandfather Maximilian Martinez was not your average man he was eccentric about living everyday for God. Maximilian believed that there was an invisible war going on right here on earth and that many unexplained events could be solved through this. He was a spiritually blessed man, and was very poor. His wife Allison Page Martinez gave him one son whom they named Maximilian Martinez, junior.

Maximilian, Senior, developed into what was known to locals as a spiritual worker. Day in and day out Maximilian worked tirelessly fighting dark entities and demons on behalf of his clients. He never charged them, he only requested that they bring their own supplies or pay for them. Maximilian was a great man, he eventually died of a stroke from being overworked, and He took on too many clients. This had a very profound affect on his son Maximilian, Jr.; he took his fathers death very hard. His mother struggled to provide for both of them. She raised livestock, and grew fruit not only to feed her son and herself but also, to help earn a living so that she could send him to school. If it weren’t for the chickens and pigs they sold and ate, things would have been harder.

Maximilian watched his mother suffer she was a beautiful woman she could have remarried, but she refused. Allison never got over losing her husband. Maximilian remembered his mother’s struggles and his father’s sacrifices and vowed to not let his family suffer in poverty. He felt that if his parents had the tools that they needed meaning money. His father would have lived longer he would have been healthier and stronger to fight for his clients. This was why he became obsessed with being physically fit and healthy with the use of natural herbs and fresh healthy food. Maximilian, Jr., did follow in his father’s footsteps. Becoming a worker in spiritual warfare however, he was not like his father. Although God had blessed the Martinez family not all lived up to the Martinez name.

Maximilian, Jr., did succeed in building a fortune for his family. He was a great inventor who created numerous life changing devices that were used all over the world. After receiving his first big check he gathered up his wife Daisy smith Martinez and their two small sons. Maxwell and Tamarius Martinez, and moved to the United States. They settled into a small town in Central Florida called Lexington.  Eventually he and his wife passed away living their grown children multi-billionaires. He also left them a legacy of continuing wealth, he learned a lot about putting God first in his life and understood if God had not blessed him, he would not have succeeded in life.

Before they passed away Maximilian and Daisy attended the wedding of Maxwell his oldest son and Jenna Castle. Maximilian did not approve of his son marrying the foster child they took into their home. Maximilian could not convince his son other wise. Two years after the wedding of Maxwell and Jenna they had a son named Max Martinez. Maximilian loved his grandson dearly and before he died made special arrangements to make sure when he turned eighteen that he would be taken care of for the rest of his life.

Maxwell foolishly confided in his wife who then showed her true colors. Jenna created a plan to swindle her husband out of his money to have her own fortune.  Maxwell Martinez was an amazing man, but after dealing with Jenna he became cynical and cold. Max felt rejected by his father so when his mother won custody of him in the divorce, Max was all too happy to live with her.  Thank God for uncle Tamarius, who loved Max like a son and thought him everything he knew.

Tamarius a very handsome six foot four physically fit man was unmarried he threw himself into spiritual warfare determined to do everything in his power to not let Satan have any more victory over his family. Tamarius could see how Jenna destroyed his brother and although he didn’t resent women he became very cautious of getting into a deeply committed relationship. Tamarius wanted to one day settle down but worried he would never meet someone who would understand his family secrets and his unwavering desire to be a warrior for God.
