The Dragon & The Phoenix by April Thomas

The Dragon & The Phoenix

Filled with pride, ego, and power he set out to destroy her.

The Phoenix in an unsettled rest surrounds her self with love, peace, harmony and beauty. She knows of the quite storm rumbling below her, but with a firm footing in her faith she is prepared for the finally battle.

He comes towards her with an untamed, dark and violent spirit, but she is unmoved.

Like the most elegant dances performed by the most praised dancers, they fight. However, their fight appears to others as a simple lover’s quarrel, but upon deeper observation the truth is revealed.

Once upon a time they were one… he lead and she followed without question, and with complete trust. Now like an unexpected shift of the earth’s axis. A bitter war between them rumbles on. Swords are drawn and flesh is sliced open, pure red blood flows, and pain is suppressed as they fight on uncaring of who lives or who dies. No longer do they fight for their own lives it is all about the battle of good verses evil.

Who will win, who will lose? He vows that no one will have her, she promises she will one day know happiness. The battle continues on, and in the end only one is left standing.

Dropping her sword she kneels down besides her fallen love. She holds him close, resting his head on her beast, as life slips away from him, he understands now, what he should of understood before, that no one can defeat love.

As she whispers her final good bye, she lifts her soul to the Creator to be renewed and returned to fight the darkness with love once again.

I want you by April Thomas

I Want You

Can you hear it…the sound of love’s heart,

 thumping…pounding… moaning…I want you.

kissing, grinding, moaning can you hear my heart?

Can you feel it…the sensation of love’s tender kiss,

goosebumps traveling up my arm…I want you.

soft caress turn into passionate scratches…

Can you taste it…my lover’s sweet tongue

caressing the softness of my lips.

Savoring the essence of me…I want you.

Can you smell it…the aroma,

 the musk of passion rising.

I woke up in the morning thinking, I want you!

Can you see it…

through love’s eyes we can only see  beauty,

blind to the ugliness of the world, we can only see each other.

Through The Rain by April Thomas

Through The Rain

Through the rain, he walks for me.

Thunder, lightning, hail, he comes to me.

Winter, spring, summer or fall.

I know now he will risk it all.

The love and passion pours from his soul,

Filling my emptiness making me whole.

Young is our love in earthly years.

Ancient are our souls, which fought through our human fears.

Twins born from a sacred bond,

Twin souls trapped in Earth’s spiritual war.

Destiny holds us together,

The purity of our love flowing for one another

Sanity has no home here in our love,

Insane is our passion insane is our love.

Darkness has tried its best to destroy God’s chosen alliance,

Yet all it has done is strengthen our passion and empower our defiance.

Now through the storm we will risk it all,

Not fire, hail, or rainstorm will make us fall.

Higher we rise into God’s embrace.

Higher we rise above this brutal place.

I crave him more than life itself,

Should our paths split,

Earth’s gravity will surly shift.

For we have no desire to be with any other.

Feral in print

The bride, on her wedding night, describes the marriage as an arrangement, something she entered into reluctantly, out of a sense of family obligation, in exchange for needed help for a parent. She loves another, and does not love her husband, and warns him that she can’t be “bought.” How will her husband cope with this? What will their life together be like? And how will the reluctant bride respond with her new husband’s expectations that she will fulfill his desires in the bedroom.

Unwilling spirit, but weak flesh. The novel is not for prudes, as it describes, very vividly, the intimate issues that arise from this situation. But this is not one of those paper-thin erotic novels which use a thin veneer of storyline to swiftly get to mechanical descriptions of sexual acts separate from character and emotion. Instead, it is a mature and believable interesting storyline developed in a multifaceted and complex world which draws you into a private world which is recognizably real.

The unique blend of in-depth characters and cinematic story presents visually and thematically rich images in your mind of the ongoing and changing dimensions of a marriage which may turn out to be far more than it appears to be at first blush. Will the husband get what he truly wants? Will the wife learn to love her husband? How will they deal with the issues surrounding their life together and children?

The sexual scenes are extremely hot and clearly written in a manner that both men and women will enjoy, unlike the either/or, one-sided approach that all too many erotic novels choose to adopt. I know this is one I will return to again and again, because, like any truly satisfying experience, once is not enough.

A thoroughly enjoyable reading experience filled with numerous moments to savor.

Touching The Untouchable

Get wrapped up in a passionate romance about a young woman’s struggle to understand love. Enjoy this short excerpt.

The wind blows through her tresses and fragrant flowers surround her as the evening sun radiates off her golden-brown skin. An elegant off-white wedding dress, with intricate designs, fits snug against her hourglass shape, drifting off into a wave of shimmering fabric.

By the look on her face, one can hardly believe this is the happiest day of her life.

“Can I get you anything?” He steps onto the balcony. The wind hits him with her fragrance, and his temperature rises. It takes all his strength to hold himself back from taking her, right there on the ledge.

“No, I’m just going to call and see how my mom is doing.” She moves past him, careful not to graze any part of her body against his.

She makes the call, anxious to hear any reputable news. Greeted by her mother’s nurse, she is unable to speak, directly, with her mother. The nurse informs her of the less-than-settling news. “Okay, please call me any time, for anything. Promise me?”

The nurse, reluctantly, agrees.

“Sweetie, it’s your wedding night, your mother will be fine.”

“I just want to know if anything changes, good or bad.”

“Alright, now go and enjoy that beautiful hunk. Don’t call me, I will call you.” The nurse ends the call, without accepting another word.

She stays on the line a bit longer, creating a facade, in an attempt to avoid her new husband’s alluring stare. However, the loud, repetitive tone blares in her ear while blood rushes to her cheeks, displaying an embarrassing red glow.

“Is everything alright?” He is longing for an excuse to hold her.

“Ah, everything is fine, for now.” She places the phone back onto its receiver.

“I will not request anything of you tonight.” He comes to a stand behind her.

“You will not request anything of me, ever!” The words leave her mouth, with bitter rage, as she turns to face him.

Swiftly, he pins her against the wall of their penthouse suite. His thigh forces her legs apart as he presses against her. “It is taking everything I have not to rip that dress off and devour you. Please, do not test my temper, as well.”

Was it her plump, quivering lips or the sensation of ample breasts pressing against his firm chest? Tobias Cavanaugh holds an unfathomable passion for Azura Hanson. To say she is beautiful would be too vague. Words cannot describe the beauty her being carries.

Her chest heaves up and down, the pressure becoming too much as her lungs fight for air.

“This is an arrangement. I was not given the opportunity to search out a more pleasing option.” She pushes on his broad chest, swiftly concealing the quiver shooting through her as she admires the feel of his flesh under her fingertips.

“An arrangement?”

“We both know the situation. Although I’m grateful for all you’re willing to do for my mother, I will not be your sex slave.”
